CORE Bulkheads

CORE Bulkhead Hose Connections

ESI and Holmatro have teamed up to offer CORE technology users an alternative way to deploy hoses from rescue apparatus.  In the past, hose reels were the only solution to operate stationary power units from rescue vehicles.  Now with CORE technology, ‘Everything Has Changed!’

Deploying CORE hose is very easy and can be accomplished by simply plugging the single line hose into a tool, then into a power source, and then walking away.  The hose unravels automatically into a straight line while walking – no kinks to worry about.

Because of this unique property, pre-piped hose outlets can be installed around a rescue vehicle.  The power unit can be remotely stored and operated.  A rescuer needs only to carry a tool, a length of hose (usually 50 feet), plug it into the Bulkhead Connector and walk to the rescue area.  If a greater length is required, simply plug in another piece of hose and continue walking.

Two different styles of Bulkhead Connectors are available:

1)     Surface Mount – For above or below bumpers or steps, this aluminum diamond plate box mounting system features a hinged cover to protect the connection and a rubber latch to hold it closed.

2)     Flush Mount – For through bumpers or compartment walls, this plastic device features a spring hinged cover and a straight or 90 degree swivel rear connector.

Both Bulkhead Connector systems require a hose to connect to a power unit.

Custom installations are available through the ESI Installation Department.
