Within
2 hours of performing a demo and the Bensalem Township Fire & Rescue deciding on
purchasing a Holmatro Rescue Tool academy system from ESI Equipment, Inc., the
daytime crew got a chance to perform an extrication on Interstate 95 at Street
Road in Bucks
County. The
equipment worked flawlessly and a door was removed in very little time.
The
new department based out of the Bensalem Township Complex in Bucks County, PA
was recently formed to handle daytime assistance to the other volunteer
companies in the township. Being a new organization, the crew is in the
process of equipping their Engine 222 with a multitude of equipment to handle
their emergency responses. They quickly chose the Holmatro Academy System
which consists of a Duo Gas Power Unit (DPU31); 27” Spreader (4240UL); 5” Cutter
(4020UL); Medium Telescopic Ram (4350); 2-CORE Hoses; and, a Ram Support (HRS22)
because of the complete package and immediate availability.
Holmatro provides the ability for local dealers, like ESI, to consign sets of
equipment each year to training academies throughout our region. The
Bensalem Township Fire & Rescue took advantage of the one-year old system to add
to their compliment of equipment which now includes the state-of-the-art
Holmatro CORE hydraulics.
Congratulations
to the crew on Engine 222.
